Diet--- Some interesting Snacks
The tough part of loosing weight is the Diet and drinking water. I have been trying to find ways to make this interesting. This is what I made to make my evenings interesting
4 cups puffed rice (murmura)
10 curry leaves (kadi patta)
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
Method
Murmura (Puffed Rice) Snack
Servings 4
Ingredients
4 cups puffed rice (murmura)
5 to 6 dry red chilli
10 curry leaves (kadi patta)
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp sugar and salt to tastee
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
Method - Heat oil in a wok(kadhai)
- When the Oil is hot add mustard seeds and asafoetida
- Then add red chilli and curry(kadhipatta) leaves
- add turmeric powder
- Then add sugar and salt and red chilli powder
- Add the roasted peanuts
- Now add murmura and stir for a minute
- Now chatpate murmure are ready to eat
- Or store it in air tight container for future use
To add flavour while serving add freshly chopped tomatoes, onions and cilanthro leaves with a dash of lemon.
