Day 2 RushFit – Cardio + Stretch and Flexibility Today’s workout can be summed with 2 quotes “Nothing comes for free” Jillian and “muscles are like elastic if you pull at it when it’s cold it snaps” George. It was day for cardio of my choice and I chose “Banish Fat Boost metabolism “by Jillian Michaels. Its 56 minutes long including the cool down. This workout I have done so many times especially in the 2009 when I had a huge weight loss goal. And when I started off today I thought, this aint tough I have done it a million times but boy was I wrong. Jillian Michael grinds you to paste in this cardio blast. It reminded me how unfit I still was but in a good way and I pushed myself, got uncomfortable so I reach the end . Of course I had to modify a couple of the moves, however when I do this the second time over I will make sure I do the advance version of all the moves. Rushfit recommends a Cardio of 30 minutes in the first 4 weeks, but the bad ass that I am I decided...
Today was the designated cardio day but work happened and didn't get to the gym in the morning........ Ok wait up before you nod your head again and say there goes her commitment.......I made it to the gym in the evening and better still skipped the cardio and got Nash to train lower body and abs. Most of the moves were plyometrics so that compensated for the cardio as well. So we did jumping lunges, then squat jumps, mountain climbers, pushups with knee to elbow move (don't know what that's called) , machine assisted shoulder press, and kettle bell lateral raises(8kg) all of which were 3sets each Then we did some abs, which was in and outs,v twists and leg climbers also 3 sets of each. That was today's session, and then we stretched. I have to say the stretches that Nash makes me do our really good and he actually made me realize that I am tighter on the right leg. He said that may be I use that leg when standing on heels to compensate. That's good observatio...
This week was a organizing week as I got to organizing my 2013. It involved getting chore lists done, planning work stuff, a study timetable and also some uncluttering work. I feel a little more in control of my work and home and life in general. So the lack of post for the two weeks. This post is about how Round 2 of Body Revolution has been. I love this workout because even though it’s my second go at it, it still leaves me breathless .To recap, week 1 and 2 was Workout 1 ,Workout 2 and Cardio 1 one day each and then you repeat the same schedule for next 3 days. Week 2 follows the same routine as Week 1. These workouts left me sore because from the last time I did it, I have upped my weights. Workout 1 is a lot more difficult than Workout2 and Cardio 1 still kicked my ass. For an advanced fitness level I would recommend that they either skip week 1 and 2 or add other workouts with it because it is targeted for the more unfit lot like me. J...
