In my last post I mentioned how I am back to my workouts .What goes hand in hand with workouts is eating right and an almost clean diet.Its suprising how I always end up eating right when I workout. Rushfit is good and has been taxing and some points have lost most of cause months of binging has messed the endurance I built. Like I mentioned in my last post I am following the intermediate schedule and this is what the 1st week looked like Day1: Strenght and Endurance workout DVD Day2:Abdominal Strenght and Core Conditioning DVD Day3:Cardio + Stretch and Flexibility bonus DVD Day4:Strenght and Endurance workout DVD Day5:Cardio + Balance and Agility bonus DVD Day6: Full Body Strenght Conditioning For Cardio I did the Brazil Butt Lift Cardio Axe on one day and 4 kilometer walk on Day 5. As you must have noticed I do not have the discipline to write a post everyday. So the posts are done every week. But today has to be an exception,it was the beginning of phase 2 with workout 5, and boy it kicked my ass. It was so tough that i tried it in the morning and stopped midway in the first circuit. I finally did it in the evening and could only do it till the first time of the fourth circuit. It was bad and I felt dizzy so stopped and did the cool down. Supersets are tough may be I will be able to complete the next time. Part of the problem is also that I have a bad throat, hope it doesn't get worse. That's all for now. The year has been a roller coaster ride for my running . I started the year planning to get on the running wagon completely with planning out my race calendar for the year. I may have gotten ambitious by deciding on the Boston qualifier as well. It doesn't cost much to dream, does it. Well officially I still have a shot as the Spice Coast Marathon is scheduled this Sunday. But the truth of the matter is, let alone 42 Km I cant run a mile with a ankle injury. So all my dreams of BQ are down the drain. I hurt my ankle in my practice runs post Bangalore marathon. Lesson learnt that I need to run more often and trying to achieve too much in a short time is not possible. Also running in the dark may not be the best time to run. To be honest, even if the injury wasn't there , I had no chances of getting to my target time, cause I haven't been practicing. why I haven't, well I don't want to spend the whole blog whining so may be another time.
